Inga Likšaitė is Ariadne of the new times, the holder of the magic thread who no longer bothers to aid the ungrateful Theseus. Instead, she is lured into a puzzling maze of woman’s world to discover the most subtle nuances of it. Just like in Greek mythology and art, the fleece thread remains the tactile means of communication between the concrete reality and the intangible space of artwork. The artery of the seam pulsating across the cloth in stitches appears to the artist not only the method of constructing the image, but also the link with the tradition....

Menininkės darbai įkvėpti Honkongo režisieriaus Wong Kar-wai filmo „Meilės laukimas“. Kaip sakė pats režisierius, pagrindinė filmo tema – ne tiek meilės istorija, kiek 1962-ųjų Honkongas, ankšti butai ir koridoriai, visada atviros durys ir kaimynai; tai filmas apie paskalas ir melą, kai žmonės stengėsi nuslėpti savo tamsiąsias gyvenimo puses ir atrodyti padoriai. „Meilės laukimas“ įkvėptas paties režisieriaus vaikystėje paliktų atminties atspaudų. Filmo stilių diktuoja jo turinys, kurį taikliai pagavo Inga Likšaitė, jungdama siūtus paveikslus, videomeną, garsą ir objektus....
